Songwriting Inspiration:

I grew up in a big Italian community in a factory town, where we all lived in 3 family houses 2 feet apart from each other.  We didn’t have a lot… but we didn’t know that we didn’t have  a lot… and we didn’t care… We were HAPPY. Every day we spent 2-3 hours at the dinner table with my parents and aunts and uncles, and cousins  who lived on the same street. If we didn’t have something… we learned to create it in our own minds… we used our imaginations… ( pre the  computer age) People were polite. People were kind. The world was a happy place to live. The highlight of the 50’s was the lick em and stick em days when we would all sit around the table and we would paste green stamps into a book .We always  picked  the  dream gift from the  catalog  as a family.We were a unit… a team… that’s how life and family were meant to be.
